Yes. Way up there. Way, way, way up there... My little girl... my not sooo little girl I guess now. My district had their picnic recently and of course my family went. I was ready for all the kiddy rides, no problem there. Then my youngest sister (Emma's 12 year old aunt who is the epitamy of "cool" in Emma's eyes) asked if Emma could go a ride with her. Well, of course! What fun Emma will have... then we go to the very, very last ride and I find Emma in line with my sister for this (take note of the picture!) monstrousity! Ok, can I just say that my heart stopped. And then reason came through - not to worry, she's tooooo little to get on, right?? Surely she won't be allowed on, so there's really nothing to worry about.
Well, she makes it to the front and to my horror she's actually tall enough!! How did that happen! I wanted to make sure that someone didn't cut a few inches off the bottom of that measuring stick! Note: if you look carefully you can see spots in the photograph... why is that, you say? Because we're lucky I could hold the camera let alone get a good shot - I was actually using the camera to zoom in and make sure she was OK!! The fact that I had to zoom in just to see her was shocking, let alone her look when she got to the top!
In the end, she made it back to the ground safely and completely overjoyed that she's a big girl! I, on the other hand, may need some sort of therapy to get over the shock.
